Dank Subreddits

If you don’t already know, Reddit is a great free internet forum of sorts, where you can make your own niche subreddits. Obviously, some of them are pretty dank. Here are some of my favorites.

The dankest of them all, and probably my favorite subreddit. It is for random, funny memes that make no sense. Expect lots of doggos and creepy people

Dank Memes

An edgy me_irl. Unlike me_irl, you can post almost anything if it is dank enough. Expect political, weird, inappropriate memes. Still pretty dank tho

Slightly less edgy dank memes. Like the name says, expect reposted 4chan memes and such. Not as popular as the other subreddits, but still has a decent following at 10,000 followers. Also inappropriate, so be warned.

Undertale is Awesome

I just picked up Undertale today for the first time, and it is one of my favorite games after only one hour of gameplay. At first I was reluctant to get it, because it is somewhat dated, but I decided to get it anyway because it is somewhat timeless. After 30 minutes I realized I was going to have a great time with it, and and at an hour I realized how good it was. Don’t let the simple graphics fool you, it is a game with a lot of charm and replayability. If you like Earthbound style games, this is right for you. However, as I said before, it is somewhat old and the style of humor and gameplay is definitely not right for everybody. So only if you know you will like it get it. That’s all for now.

Welcome to my blog đŸ˜‰ This is just a place where I talk about gaming and stuff I’m interested in. It’s kinda sad that my blog can be boiled down into two sentences, but that’s about it. Enjoy!

Mystery Blogger Award

Storiesbystacy nominated me for this thing called the Mystery Blogger Award, which apparently gives lesser known bloggers some recognition. The rules say to post the rules, so there they are…

Rules For The Nominees:

  • Display the award logo on your blog
  • List the rules
  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog
  • Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well.
  • Tell your readers three things about yourself.
  • Answer five questions from the nominee.
  • Nominate from ten to twenty bloggers.
  • Notify the bloggers by leaving a comment on their blog.
  • Ask your nominees any five questions of your choice, including one weird or funny question.
  • Share the link to your best post.

I guess I’ve already broken the first rule, because I can’t find the award logo :p

Three Things About Myself

  • Skyrim is my favorite game
  • My favorite show was the Office
  • There is nothing else interesting about me

Storiesbystacy’s Questions

  • Where did your best moment happen?

Really hard question, but I think on a trip to Germany I had a lot of fun.

  • What is your favorite animal?

Wolves. They are fast, have endurance, and can withstand cold. In my opinion, the perfect animal.

  • When do you wake up?

7:00 AM. Every day of the week, I wake up at around 7. I don’t have an alarm or anything, my body just likes to annoy me by making me wake up early.

  • Who is your favorite person?

Pretty general question, someone with a lot of influence and significance so MLK or George Washington.

  • How old are you?

Somewhere between 13 and 15. đŸ˜›

are pretty much the only ppl I know that weren’t nominated by stacy, so there you go

My questions for nominees:

  • Have you ever met a celebrity?
  • What was the coolest place you’ve ever been?
  • Who is your role model?
  • What is your favorite activity?
  • What is your favorite sport?

All of my posts are the best post ever, so here’s a link to my blog đŸ˜‰

How Games Can Stand the Test of Time

So I was playing TF2 and I realized just how old it was, then I started thinking about other games that were make a long time ago and what makes them popular today. Here are my observations on what helps  games stand the test of time.

This one may seem obvious, because it is. Games need something that keeps their players coming back. This could be lots of maps, different endings to a game, or just interesting characters. This is a trait games gain with time, updates and DLC, so it can be hard to achieve. It is probably the most important thing for a game to have.

The game that lasts years can’t have bugs or glitches. Its servers must have good up time and be steady. TF2 is a good example. It does have a few glitches, but its servers are pretty good and they compliment the game. Not much else to say here.

In multiplayer games this can be achieved by cosmetic items and a marketplace or something like that. Singleplayer games also have some options, like DLC or expansions. Singleplayer games can also get this by having more players constantly buy the game, which can be very hard for games without replayability as I mentioned above.

As a side note, I am still working on the mystery blogger award post, these types of posts are just easier to make in a shorter amount of time.

Future of this Blog

This blog has always been all over the place. It started out as a place to brag about how many digits of pi I know. It then became a place that I just posted origami and posted about whatever. After more random posts, I took a break for like 2 years. Recently I’ve made gaming posts and now I’m not sure where I stand with this blog. If you have suggestions, please write them in the comments
